Advocate for employment discrimination is equally as important.  You do have rights that have to be respected while living in America. In addition,  you do have to obey the law.  Contacting the appropriate authorites for employment discrimination, unfair labor laws is important.  There are monitary penalties for employers who abuse your rights.

We will also help people who have difficulty communicating with people of authority. We attempt to  objectively discuss problems with people who feel they have been treated unfairly. We want you to have a clear understanding about the problem and how it can be resolved.  It is initially difficult living in a different country until you learn the rules and understand the culture.  The Brazilian Center members have experienced some of the problems you may have and can be a good support system.
